President Speaks

Dear all,

Since a week past after the picnic and we had our Udyavarites Committee Meeting this week end, as it has become customary to review every event, evaluate it and it's success based on actions and participation of people. We Udyavarites committee, thank you all attendees, our well wishers, guests and all who supported this event for its success.  We have sincerely missed our fellow Udyavarites who could not attend this event due to their own priorities. Many thanks to Lancy Martis for his photography and Mrs. Jennifer Suares for a detailed crisp report on this event.

As this is the decennial year of Udyavarites, on this occasion we will be presenting a hilarious drama of Francis Fernandes Casia  ‘Matharo Chorbella’ back home in Udyavar. This drama’s 50th show will be staged in our Church compound on 18th April 2010 with the support of ICYM Udyavar.  All are cordially invited.

We are thankful for the support rendered by our fellow Udyavarites scattered in our parts of Gulf and all over the world.

Let us use this blog as a communication link to keep in touch.

Regards,
Vivian D'Silva
President - Udyavarites, U.A.E.

  1. Dear President,
It is a good idea, discussion after every event to evaluate the success or failure so that we can improve on our next event. Earlier we have discussed many time about water polution and air polution in Udyavara due to the fish meal factory. Now after the violent event on 20/02/2010 we have to support for the cause.

  2. Dear Donna,

I do agree with your comment, we need to support this cause as this issue of pollution of air and water in Udyavara is very much evident however slowly and steadily people do realise and the awareness in the minds of people making them to react, is a good sign. As you know all committee members are very much concerned regarding this pollution and we did discuss this issue many a times but somehow we couldn't initiate anything. However it is a right time to stand against those who try to destroy the beauty of our village for their personal gains.
We require support and encouragement from locals, environment lovers and media people to raise voice against these corrupt officials who issue permissions and permits (acting as pimps) for these greedy owners of such business enterprises should be dealt seriously.

    Regards.
    Vivian
