MONTHI FESTH 2011 BY UDYAVARITES, UAE

“Udyavarites “ the association of Udyavara Parishioners in UAE, celebrated the Feast of Nativity (Monthi Festh) on 23^rd September at Bangalore Empire Restaurant Banquet Hall.

The feast commenced with Bible reading by Vinitha Fernandes followed by Prayer led by our Special guest Rev Fr James Dsouza, Parish Priest of Belthangady .

Our Blessed Mother Mary was Honoured and Praised by showering of flowers and by singing of hymns “Sakkad Sangatha Melyan" and “Moriyek Hogolsiyan” in a traditional way thus recollecting the way we celebrate the feast in our homeland. The new corn and “Noven” was blessed by Rev. Fr James Dsouza and he wished Udyavarites and all attendees peaceful and successful future.

The well attended gathering of approx 200 guests were Welcomed by Udyavarites President Mr. Vivian D’silva. He expressed his gratitude to all the sponsors, well wishers and supporters of the Organisation who have relentlessly supported over the last 11 years and requested them to continue doing the same in the future. The Sponsors were also Felicitated during the programme.

In keeping up with the Traditional Menu, Delicious food was served by Bangalore Empire restaurant.

The Programmed was compared by well known MC Uttam Menezes. The audience were consistently entertained with Hilarious Skits by Gilbert Dsa, Antony Dsilva, Jeffery Castelino, Joacky Dsouza & Donny Periera. To keep up the entertainment level, Fancy dress competition was held and many kids and also adults showcased their Talent. Throughout the programme live Music was performed by “Simple” the Band by Ms. Monica, Tushara & team.

Vote of Thanks was delivered by ex President Mr Donald Ronald Machado and the Programme ended with a floor tapping Baila. All Attendees left with a word of appreciation and looking forward for celebrations from Udyavarites.

Monti fest Wishes from Udyavarites.

Let us celebrate the birth of the Virgin Mary; let us worship her Son, Christ the Lord.

Each Year, the feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is celebrated on September 8. Today, let us celebrate with joyful hearts the miraculous birth of God's Mother and our Mother -- the one who gives us hope for the future.

Mary was immaculately conceived in the womb of her mother, St. Anne, by her father St. Joachim. The birth of the woman destined by God from the beginning of time to be born of the House of David and the Tribe of Judah, the women whose enmity toward Satan was spoken of as far back as Genesis, the woman whom St. John saw crowned with stars and with the moon at her feet, the woman whom God chose to bear His Son and bring life to the world.

We can see every human birth as a call for new hope in the world. The love of two human beings has joined with God in his creative work. The loving parents have shown hope in a world filled with travail. The new child has the potential to be a channel of God's love and peace to the world.

This is all true in a magnificent way in Mary. If Jesus is the perfect expression of God's love, Mary is the foreshadowing of that love. If Jesus has brought the fullness of salvation, Mary is its dawning.

Birthday celebrations bring happiness to the celebrant as well as to family and friends. Next to the birth of Jesus, Mary's birth offers the greatest possible happiness to the

world. Each time we celebrate her birth we can confidently hope for an increase of peace in our hearts and in the world at large.

Easter wishes

"But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ"

(1 Corinthians 15:57, NLT)

Tomorrow Sunday, we will be celebrating Easter Sunday, the resurrection of our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. So much happened at Calvary's cross over two thousand years ago, but ultimately, Jesus overcame sin and death so that we could have abundant life! Because of Jesus, we have victory over anything that would try to hold us back.

No matter what bondage, stronghold, sin or addiction has held us captive in the past, but when we receive Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, we receive His power. Sin can't hold us back any longer, because whom the Son sets free is free indeed. (John 8:36) It all starts by believing and receiving this promise. The more we meditate on His Word, the more of His power becomes activated in us. Today, know that we are free and we have victory! Let us receive this truth and let it transform us our being from inside out.

Udyavarites - An association of Udyavar Paritioners residing in U.A.E. gathered for a fun filled annual family picnic on Friday, 25th Feb. 2011 at Safa Park, Dubai.
